A Personal Invitation
to Write for Us

We're looking for:

New voices are always welcome! Send us your pitch!

Whether you’re a new writer building up your portfolio, an established blogger, or a writer with decades of experience who finally has the time to share your work, we would love for you to join our community!

I’m personally writing posts and our newsletter as fast as I can each week, but I know our readers would love to hear from new voices. Please, join our community and take the spotlight!

Blog posts should focus on one (or a combination of) our Five Essential Actions:

  1. Boost Your Brain (brain health)

  2. Connect & Thrive (importance of social activities)

  3. Harness Hidden Powers (invisible functions like sleep, HRV, etc)

  4. Fuel Your Journey (nutrition, supplements, water, etc.)

  5. Stay Active (fitness, especially as it relates to vibrant longevity)

We are laser-focused on the positive side of aging, vibrant longevity, active lifestyles, positive growth, and a joyful, grateful attitude about aging.

Not all blog posts need to share personal stories, so if you’re not ready or old enough to write about aging from your personal viewpoint, there’s still room in the Pounce Pot Post for information articles. We believe that healthspan is something we can all work on and discuss!

The Pounce Pot Post is looking for articles in the 1,000 - 2,500 word range that fall into one of the following categories:

  1. Obviously, we welcome posts that fit into one of our 5 protocols.

  2. Interviews of Super-Agers, people over 80 who are living vibrant, purposeful, and engaging lives — let’s talk to them!

  3. Book reviews for current, non-fiction books about proactive aging, longevity, or brain health (for ex, Super Agers)

  4. Journey stories from you personally. A story that fits into one of our 5 essential actions would be ideal.

  5. The Venn Diagram: an in-depth look at a current influencer doctor or an organization’s protocol to see how it fits in with ours. We’re trying to see if the world’s advice can fit into our protocol system. Can we use the Pounce Pot Protocol to help us discover something new or to think critically about what an influencer might be leaving out? See if what they’re suggesting fits into our 5 categories? This is very helpful information for our readers.

    • Tone: Write like you’re talking to a friend over coffee. Be warm, a little funny (if that’s your style), and very personal. I try to use a college-level vocabulary when possible, but we’re trying to explain complex issues in a relatable way. I’m not writing dissertations. But I am trying to explain them.

    • We love clear paragraphs with great headlines and descriptive subheadings that are SEO-friendly.

    • Please always include relevant backlinks to established, authoritative sources to support your data and sources. Link back to your own website, too!

    • We value your unique voice! Please verify that your writing is your own. We’re a “no AI slop zone!”

    • AI: If we smell even a whiff of AI in what you’re calling your writing, it's a no thank you. Things like outlining assistance are okay, of course. We’re not Luddites. But full copy AI, no way.

    • Intolerance: There's no room for hate speech or discrimination on our site. We champion diverse voices and perspectives that enrich the literary landscape and our world.

    • Hate Speech and Discrimination: It’s worth repeating: we have zero room for intolerance of any kind. We welcome LGBTQ+ voices and writers of all ages, races and nationalities. Of course we welcome all...because we’re not jerks. You shouldn't be either. If you are, come back when you're not.

  • A Brief Introduction: A concise message outlining your article idea is key. Tell me a little bit about yourself (maybe with your short author’s bio) and where you live.

Don't worry if you're an emerging writer (of any age). Your passion counts. Be real.

Even if you’ve never published anything ever before, we’d love to hear from you! We will promote your article and link back to your website(s) and social media as much as humanly possible.

Response TimeI’ll get back to you within a day or so, but please let us know if your piece is accepted elsewhere. We can only publish previously unpublished articles due to Google search standards (it’s complicated, but I’m happy to explain it to you if you want to learn about it.)

Payments: At this time, we are only offering to publish your blog posts and provide you with the opportunity to cross-promote and network with us. This policy could change if and when the website is monetized. We’re very happy to be a professional reference and a publishing platform for you.
